## Origin

The idea was born in the early 2000s when the site's creator witnessed unexplained data packets on a completely disconnected fiber line at a former orphanage outside Chicago. The incident raised questions about whether electronic signals — traveling through copper, glass fiber, satellite links, and microwave towers — might be perceptible to something beyond the physical network. The domain was registered in 2009. The site launched in 2026.
